We have experience of working IN business and with individuals so understand how important financial information and understanding taxation is to make key decisions .
In 2021, Claire became a Chartered Tax Adviser and even after years of training is still excited about providing tax advice. Forth Accountancy offer specialist tax advice in income tax, CGT and IHT, along with advice and day to day practical help with indirect taxes such as VAT and PAYE. Tax is changing at the fastest pace in history and it is our job to keep up to date to provide the best tax compliance for you.

I aim to listen to clients about what they want to achieve by engaging with an accountant, and provide practical solutions.
Whether you are a business looking for your annual accounts and tax return or an individual wanting to look at your inheritance tax planning, I will listen and provide results with a excellent customer service.

The Team
Accountant
Suzanne Lawson
Suzanne is a Chartered Certified Accountant with experience in both industry and practice, offering broad spectrum of accounting expertise. As a spreadsheet enthusiast, she takes pleasure in organising accounts to ensure compliance and simplicity.
Suzanne serves as one of our client managers and is also a trainee tax adviser working across a range of accounts. Suzanne leads on all things CIS and construction industry related due to her industry background.
When she's not in the office, Suzanne is busy with her young family. In the summer, you'll find her on the cricket field, either coaching youth cricket in St Austell or for the ladies' softball team.
Accountant
Claire Genge
Claire is a Chartered Certified Accountant with a strong background Audit, bringing valuable expertise to the production of statutory accounts. She takes great joy in ensuring that every set of accounts balances and will diligently investigate until everything is in perfect.

At Forth Accountancy, Claire oversees our Statutory Accounts, VAT and Management Accounts services.

Known for her vibrant personality, Claire often brings a sense of fun to the office and can frequently be found cheering for her children on the football and rugby fields, as well as supporting her aspiring actress daughter during panto rehearsals!
Assistant Accountant
Kate Williams
Kate is an AAT trainee accountant on the verge of qualification. She has a passion for accounts, tax and her overall role, which she'll be sure to share when you meet her!
With a substantial background as a Cost draftsman in a law firm and having run her own business, Kate brings meticulous attention to detail and strong business insight to our team.
At Forth Accountancy, Kate leads our payroll services, VAT preparation, bookkeeping, digital account setups and assists with various client matters.
Residing in Mevagissey, Kate enjoys her free time attending motorsports events to support her husband and soaking up some sun at the beach with her children.
Executive Administrator
Jane Jones
Jane has a strong background in land and property, bringing extensive knowledge and skills to our team.
At Forth Accountancy, Jane is responsible for client onboarding, managing anti-money laundering processes, letters of engagement and ID checks. This role is crucial for maintaining compliance with the chartered institutes and upholding our dedication to a professional and ethical service.
In her free time, Jane loves sea swimming, braving the waves several times a week, no matter the weather. She is also an exceptional baker, renowned for her delicious Lemon Drizzle cake.​

Steve Forth
Steve, Claire's husband, is a part time contributor to the firm assisting with policy setting and updating inline with industry requirements and our practice licence.
​
An experienced FD and having worked in manufacturing and technology, Steve is a great sounding board for ideas and planning.
​
Steve is particularly fond of good grammar and is our chief editor of blogs, reports and other written materials.
​
Another keen outdoors person, Steve's preference is towards walking football, and when not injured (which is a lot) takes part in walking football with Tregony, Truro and Gorran Haven.

Elaine Tibbatts
Elaine from Tibbsy Communications is a part time member of the team looking after all our marketing from strategy to social media and websites.

An experienced marketer of over 25 years, Elaine runs her own business and prior to that worked in FTSE100 companies across a variety of sectors.
​
Dedicated to delivering excellence, Elaine has extensive experience in marketing strategy, communications and all aspects of marketing.
​
In her free time, Elaine enjoys bodyboarding, paddleboarding and long walks and generally brings the glamour to the office!

Meet and Greeter
Dougie
Dougie is usually in the office and is our chief 'meeter and greeter'.

He is often found providing emotional support to the team or closely following anyone who walks into the kitchen.

Dougie brings a sense of fun and amusement to our days and ensures we get out of the office for lunch time walkies!
